2. Bananas Can Support Your Digestive System

Bananas contain dietary fiber, which is an important part of a balanced diet and supports normal digestive function.
Interestingly, the type of carbohydrate in a banana changes as the fruit ripens. Less-ripe bananas contain more resistant starch, while ripe bananas contain more readily available sugars.
This means a green banana and a very ripe banana aren’t nutritionally identical, even though they are the same fruit.
Bananas can easily be combined with other fiber-rich foods such as oats, nuts, seeds, and other fruits.
